Bulletin description:

This course presents the design and application of databases. Topics include models for databases, database query languages, database design methods, methods for storing and retrieving information from a database, database optimizations, transaction processing, and a brief examination of some advanced concepts, including object databases, distributed databases, and database security. This course is a COEN design elective in the area of applications.Prerequisites: COEN 120 (COSC 154) or COSC 055 or equivalent experience with data structures and Java.
