MEEN 4360/5360 - Intermediate Thermodynamics

Thermodynamics has application to just about every branch of mechanical engineering, as well as to life itself. It is defined as the study of energy and entropy, and their relationships to the properties of matter. This intermediate course will cover the fundamentals of thermodynamics, concentrating on classical perspectives with application to equilibrium and non-equilibrium, non-reactive and reactive systems. This course is geared for graduate and senior undergraduate students and is one of two courses which comprise material thatl appears on the PhD proficiency exam.
