Initiate Eligibility
Potential initiates of Eta Kappa Nu are chosen based on academic standings and display of personal character. Students must be in the top eighth of their junior class or top fifth of their senior class for academic eligibility.
If you are eligible to become a member of HKN, you will receive a letter of invitation during the Fall semester.
INITIATION Requirements
New initiates to Eta Kappa Nu have the following initiation requirements:
- Wear formal attire to class on Monday, Wednesday and Friday of Initiation Week.
- Obtain signatures from current members, professors, and other initiates.
- Construct a Wheatstone Bridge.
- Wear the Wheatstone bridge to class during Initiation Week and when obtaining signatures.
In addition, all members, including new initiates, are expected to sign up for at least one tutoring session per semester.

Initiation Ceremony
The Beta Omicron Chapter HKN Initiation for Fall 2007 will take place on November 2nd.
The HKN Initiation Ceremony is a private ceremony at which initiates become members of Eta Kappa Nu.
The annual HKN Initiation Banquet for initiates, their guests (parents, spouse, etc.), current HKN members and faculty follows the Initiation Ceremony. Please RSVP with the amount of attendees (initiate and guests) by October 30th to Diane Dechene.
