Academics
Everyone works hard for their grades, right? Having a sister who has already taken the class and can walk you through any tough issues and test help is worth her weight in gold.
Offer Advice and Counsel
Registering for classes can be overwhelming at times. Having sisters that have taken the classes you will be taking and professors you could potentially have is a tremendous help. They have insight that an advisor doesn't necessarily have pertaining to how a professor approaches a class and the workload of a particular class. Sisters also have insight on the classwork. For example, there may be a tip or trick one professor taught that the current professors don't teach in their classroom. Work smart, not hard.

Encourage Scholarship
Our chapter takes pride in our work ethic, especially when it comes to our academics. We encourage scholarship by hosting study hours for schoolwork and studying. Again, having sisters that have taken the classes before is extremely helpful. Stuck on a problem? Ask for help from a sister that's versed in the subject. Not understanding a topic? See if one of your sisters can explain it with a different approach than what the professor presented in class. Our sisters, taking similar classes, are not only friends but colleagues and tutors that are more than happy to help.

Establish Habits
While most habits are established before college, much is still to be learned during your time at Marquette. Learning never ceases and credible habits are established through a cooperative sisterhood of professionalism. Through example and guidance, sisters work together to build a stronger foundation of steadfast study and work habits for each and every sister.
