COURSE DESCRIPTION
CEEN 170. Introduction to Transportation Engineering.
3 Semester Hours.
Forecasting methodologies--applications to transportation. Use of spreadsheets for simple and multiple linear regression, statistical charts. Airport airside systems based on Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) guidelines. Road user and vehicle characteristics, geometric design of roadways-horizontal and vertical alignment and cross-sectional elements. Signalized intersections. Emphasis on technical report writing. Offered every spring semester.
Prerequisite: Junior Standing.
