Responsible for organization of new Mechanical Engineering Department created as a result of reorganization of College; oversaw growth of faculty from 12 to 28; undergraduate student body was 550 at time of departure, 225 graduate students; supervised merger of Industrial Engineering with Mechanical Engineering, in 1986, with Manufacturing Engineering becoming a major emphasis in the Department. Also, oversaw move of Department into the New Engineering Research Facility thereby doubling its laboratory space.

failure analysis of upper ram of largest counterblow forging hammer in the world.

National Science Foundation, Assistant Director of Engineering Case Study Institute held in Chicago. Set up case studies at various area companies and demonstrated use of case studies in classroom environment.
